Nexus School Celebrates Another Year of Outstanding Accreditation Results
Nexus School is delighted to celebrate another year of outstanding accreditation results, with student outcomes continuing to improve year on year.
Over the last few years, we have seen a 28% increase in the number of students taking qualifications within the school, alongside an even more exceptional rise in the outcomes achieved by our students. We were delighted to celebrate these successes with our students again this summer.
This year, 47% of students achieved the highest possible grade in Step Up to English (Entry 3), while 40% of students achieved the highest grade in Entry Level Maths (Entry 3).
We are also delighted to report that one student is on track to achieve Functional Skills Level 2 English, with this qualification expected to be completed in September. The student is already looking forward to studying GCSE English and Maths with us during the coming academic year.
| Entry 3 25-26 | Percentage Rise from Last Year | Rise in Cohort Size since 2023-2024 | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Step Up to English | 47% | 30% | 28% |
| Entry Level Maths | 40% | 33% | 28% |
Recognising Every Small Step
Alongside our formal qualifications, we have also successfully accredited more than 300 Unit Awards across Key Stages 3, 4 and 5. These awards recognise a wide range of individual achievements and skills, from learning foreign languages and developing important life skills to undertaking sport leadership.
Duke of Edinburgh Awards
This year has also seen more students than ever before working towards their Duke of Edinburgh Awards.
For the first time, we are extremely pleased to announce that two students are expected to complete their Gold Duke of Edinburgh Award, alongside nine students completing Silver and 17 students completing Bronze.
Every student undertaking a Duke of Edinburgh Award has demonstrated incredible resilience, commitment and hard work. The growth of our programme has been particularly significant, increasing from just nine students two years ago to more than 30 students this year.
Celebrating Every Success
Whatever qualification or award a student has achieved, Nexus School would like to congratulate and celebrate each and every success.
Every qualification and award achieved represents the hard work, determination and commitment of our students. These achievements would not have been possible without the encouragement and support of their families, alongside the dedication and hard work of the entire Nexus School staff team.
We are incredibly proud of all of our students and look forward to celebrating many more successes in the year ahead.
