A Week Till Hillfest! 

Today marks one week until Nexus partakes in Hillfest. There have been days and days of practice for both singing and dancing. Our choir have been working their socks off keeping up with the signing. The dancers have been grooving their socks off keeping in time and memorising their dances. All involved have been so dedicated and determined to do their absolute best and we couldn’t be prouder. If you would like to read more, please follow this link. 

We have also had our last Music Man Session this week. Since the start of this year some of our students have been involved in playing music together. What started as just Nexus ended up blooming into a collaboration with Oakley School. Every Wednesday the two schools would meet up and play along to songs with a variety of instruments. Throughout the year they developed playing abilities and memorised each song. We are very grateful to all who have been involved in this project throughout the year.  

This week was the last Duke of Edinburgh expedition as well. As you may have seen on our ClassDojo, a group of students headed for the open seas. They fought through many challenges ranging from maintaining the boat to the sea. If you wish to read more about their adventures on the boat, please follow this link to our class dojo.
