Duke of Edinburgh and Chessington!
A week of ever changing weather but that hasn’t stopped the adventures and opportunities here. The end of year trips started this week, Duke of Edinburgh returned from their expedition and we’re also gearing up for a variety of events for this term as well.
Our group of students who have participated in the Duke of Edinburgh have been and gone on their expeditions this week. There were many students who took part this week, all ranging from doing bronze to gold awards. We are proud with how well they all did; they battled nearly all four seasons in a day and still pushed on. As some may have already seen on our Class Dojo, our gold students have nearly completed their award. We are so impressed to see how far they have come and hope that they serve as inspiration for other students who have begun their awards.
This week was also our trip to Chessington World of Adventures. We hope that all students who attended had a great day and a big thank you to all the parents and staff that helped make it happen. It was lovely to see that the weather stayed sunny nearly the entire day.
On Wednesday we also had another student written article be published on the website. It is about Post-16s' visit to The Big Cat Sanctuary. It provides a great insight into what our older pupils receive out of a school trip. To read please follow this link.
We hope that the weekend has better weather and that all have a nice rest. We look forward to seeing everyone again Monday!
