A look back at somethings we missed this term

This week’s news we would like to look back at a few things we missed this term to say well done to our pupils for a variety of reasons.

We would first like to give a massive well done to all our pupils who have taken part in doing exams this term. Exams can be a difficult period for some, but we are always amazed at how each student approaches them and gives it their best shot.

Alongside the exam, there is all the work going towards AQA Certificates. The range of what students are working towards varies from subject to subject and class to class. With this huge range we can make sure that every student can have something to work towards that appeals to their interests.

There was also the first Duke of Edinburgh expedition last week. Although only a practice everyone showed such positive energy and resilience. Throughout the two nights they were there, the group worked together, kept each other going and pushed through challenges that arose. Pupils going for their gold award played a large role in navigating and setting an example of how to carry yourself and the skills needed.

Lastly, we have had our final MakaMay celebration being a teddy bear picnic. Students from across the school came down to the sunny field with their stuffed friends. On this field picnic blankets were laid out with bread and jam, together students made sandwiches, signed and shared smiles and laughs altogether.

The weather is looking like it’s going to be hot with a lot of sunshine this half-term and we hope that you all enjoy it. Don’t forget your hats, suncream and plenty of drink for next term as summer approaches.
