Pupil voice is a way of listening to the views of our pupils. At Nexus pupil voice is extremely important and we are committed to ensuring the voice of every child is heard. All of our work is child centred, so it is essential that the pupils have a role in ensuring our provision meets their needs.
Our children have diverse ways of communicating and our staff teams are dedicated to understanding and helping our children to express their needs, thoughts, feelings and opinions. Staff work closely with children to ensure that they are acting as an advocate or listening for the underlying message, so that children are able to effectively share what they want to express.
To ensure that all pupils have the opportunity to share their thoughts and express their points of view there are a number of different meetings that pupils are able to attend, including School Council.
