STLS Risk Assessment

Risk assessment

Dear Tonbridge and Malling SENCos

We wanted to update you all with our STLS service offer from the 8.3.21 and the updated risk assessment is available on the link above.

As a team, we are working to offer our District schools and settings a combination of virtual LIFT, training and review meetings, alongside some face to face visits and observations where it is deemed appropriate and Risk Assessments are in place.

Specialist Teachers will look at their case lists and prioritise the most complex children and those who are new referrals or due to transition to primary or secondary school in September 2021. The team will contact you in due course to find out your setting or school position on face to face visits, but in the interim, if you have an updated Risk Assessment for your provision, please could you send a copy of this through to . Thank you.

Until the end of Term 4 at least, Specialist Teachers will still only be able to do 1 school or setting visit daily and will not be allowed into Nexus following this. This will clearly impact their capacity and we ask you for your patience and understanding as we do our best to get to you all.  Hopefully, with twice-weekly Lateral Flow testing and vaccinations, confidence in opening our service back up to fully operational for schools and settings will not be in the too distant future. We will keep you informed of any additional changes to our service and support when applicable.

Please do not hesitate to contact me or any of the team should you have any questions regarding this.

Wishing you all the best,

Judi and the STLS team
