Follow-up surgery October 4, 9:30-2:30

We will look at the range of Early Years paperwork, focusing on how and when to complete specific documents in line with the SEND Code of Practice. Time will be spent looking at Targeted Plans, Personalised Plans and the EHCP paperwork.

An interactive session looking at a range of visual support strategies that can be implemented in Early Years settings to develop and extend children’s learning.

The main focus will be on informal assessment and the different approaches that can be used. We will look at a graduated approach to assessment and will look at some formal assessments as part of this approach.

We will look at provision for two-year-olds with complex needs and consider adaptations and differentiation that may be needed to develop learning in early years settings.

Identify difficulties and issues associated with children with emotional and social challenges. Identify how the environment in your setting impacts children’s behaviours. To increase your confidence and skills to use strategies to support children with emotional and behavioural needs in Early Years settings

Autism Awareness - 1 hour 

This training explores the diagnostic criteria for Autism, children's different presentations, strengths and difficulties, and classroom strategies that support inclusion.

This training explores the unique presentations of girls on the spectrum and recommends strategies and resources to support girls' wellbeing and inclusion.  

Please be aware, to access this training we recommend you complete the Autism Awareness Training first.

Zones of Regulation Training - 50mins

The Zones of Regulation is a cognitive-behavioural approach used to teach students how to regulate their feelings, energy and sensory needs, in order to meet the demands of the situations around them and be successful socially. This training will introduce you to the zones, and the pathway through the zones program, strategies and differentiating the zones program.
